Mr. Hesong Tang was the former Vice President of Baidu and fully in charge of strategic M&A and investments. Mr. Tang led several landscape changing deals in China internet industry such as Baidu’s acquisition of 91 Wireless ($1.9B), controlling investment into Qunar ($306mm) , investment into iQiyi, acquisition of PPS($370mm), and acquisition of Nuomi, etc. Prior to Baidu, Mr. Tang was the Director of Strategic Investment at Microsoft Greater China. He also worked at Cisco, Applied Matierals, etc. Mr. Tang teaches MBA course at Tsinghua University and is also the Academic Advisor for Master students at Wudaokou Financial Institute of Tsinghua University. Mr. Tang holds BS and MS degrees in engineering from Tsinghua University, MBA degree from the University of Chicago, and MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.
Maggie Yang is the Co-Founding Partner of Xiang He Capital.She mainly focuses on the opportunities of internet and mobile internet’s penetration into traditional industries, such as online education, logistics, online medical, B2B; consumption upgrade and culture, entertainment and content sectors.
Maggie used to be an Executive Director at investment department of Baidu Inc. From 2010 to 2015, she worked with Mr. Tang on a number of milestone transactions such as acquisition of 91 Wireless, investment into iQiyi, acquisition of PPS, etc; she also led and completed Baidu’s investments in Kuaishou, Youxin and Lianjia, etc. Before joining Baidu, Maggie worked at Ernst & Young for 8 years, with 4 years at Audit and another 4 years at Transaction Advisory Services department, helping private equity and multinational corporations with their investments and M&A in China.
Maggie received her bachelor degree from the University of Hong Kong in business administration. She is a CPA and CFA Charterholder.
Kun Wang joined Xiang He Capital as a founding member in early 2016. He is responsible of investment opportunities in AI technology, as well as industry of B2B and online education.
Kun worked as senior associate at SAIF from 2015 to 2016 and concentrated on opportunities in SaaS. Prior to joining SAIF, Kun worked at investment department of Baidu Inc. for 3 years, where he was responsible for seeking investment opportunities in mobile internet tool, game content and new technology. The projects he was involved include acquisition of ES, Linekong and Blipay. Prior to joining investment department, Kun was a software engineer at Commerce Search Department of Baidu Inc.
Kun Wang received his bachelor degree of computer science and technology from Peking University and his MBA from School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University.
Xue Dong joined Xiang He Capital in June 2016, focusing on industry of fintech, logistics, consumption upgrade, entertainment and content. Prior to joining Xiang He, Xue Dong worked at investment department of Baidu Inc. from 2010 to 2015, where she leads and participated in acquisition of Nuomi, investment into HaoDaiFu, Yoka, etc. From 2015 to 2016, Xue Dong worked at investment department of Xiaomi as senior investment manager, where she leads and participated in investment into Memedai, Tiger Security, etc. Xue Dong received her master degree of Communication and Information Engineering, bachelor of Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University, and a bachelor degree of Economics from Peking University.
Ruijia Shi joined Xiang He Capital in early 2017. He is responsible of investment opportunities in SaaS, E-commerce and consumer sectors.
Before joining Xiang He, Ruijia worked as intern at FreeS VC from 2015 to 2016 focusing on SAAS and B2B sectors.
Ruijia Shi received bachelor degree of economics and master degree of finance from Tsinghua University.
Youxin Kang joined Xiang He Capital in July 2017, focusing on industry of online education, entertainment and content. Prior to joining Xiang He, Youxin Kang worked at investment department of Qihoo 360.
Youxin Kang received his bachelor degree from Renmin University of China in business administration.
Ziqi He received her bachelor of Economics from Capital University of Economics any Business in 2008, and master of accounting and financial management from University of Essex in 2012. Prior to joining Xiang He Capital, Ziqi worked at Sequoia Capital China for nearly 5 years. As Assistant Financial Controller, Ziqi was responsible for finance matters of RMB Funds, as well as post-investment management. Prior to that, Ziqi worked at Deloitte Beijing office for 3 years, and mainly participated in IPO Project of Agriculture Bank of China.
Wei Li joined Xiang He Capital in May 2018 and is responsible for overall legal and compliance matters at Xiang He Capital. Prior to joining Xiang He Capital, Wei Li worked as an in-house counsel at Blue Pool Capital, a Hong Kong-based investment firm. Prior to that, Ms. Li worked at Sullivan & Cromwell’s Hong Kong office and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett’s Hong Kong office, where she focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. Wei Li received her LL.B. from China Foreign Affairs University and her LL.M. and J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School.
